Joseph Plante Obituary – On October 23, 2023, Joseph M. Plante, who lived on Masonic Home Road and was 28 years old, passed away. His parents, William P. and Cheryl A. (Munro) Plante, of Charlton; his sister, Sarah E. Plante, of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina; his paternal grandmother, Sally A. (Davis) Plante, also of Charlton; his paternal grandfather, Donald R. (“Joe”) Plante, who passed away; his maternal grandfather, Allison K. Munro of Garden City, New York; his maternal grandmother Evelyn E. Mun Although he spent his entire life in Charlton, he was born in Worcester and lived there till his death.
After completing his high school education at St. John’s High School in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts in 2013, he went on to study at Florida Atlantic University and the Professional Golf College. Mr. Plante spent a significant amount of time working at Heritage Country Club as both the manager of the pro shop and a teaching professional. Earlier in his career, he held the position of Director of Golf at the Quaboag Country Club in Monson.
He was passionate about music, the outdoors (hiking, camping, and golfing), and his boxer, Dutchess. Above all else, he treasured the time he got to spend with his loved ones, both blood and otherwise. Many people will miss him very much, and he will be remembered for his friendly nature, wide smile, and his bear hugs that were always so welcoming.
